Laura Dillabaugh

Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15+ years of experience. She helps people cope with and manage stress related to interpersonal relationships and work/life balance, grief/loss, and women’s issues. She also works with the military population regarding deployment issues and marital difficulties. Her counseling approach is nondirective, meaning that she meets clients in a nonjudgmental way, listening to what they would like help with and works to set realistic and attainable goals. She uses CBT to help restructure any unhelpful/untrue thoughts. She also enjoys using humor in her sessions as well.

Laura uses strengths-based coaching to uncover unique talents and abilities and specializes in working with people in transition who are frustrated and who want change. She also works with women on a variety of issues including self-confidence, navigating relationships, and pre/post-partum issues.

Laura earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 2005 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the State University of New York in 2001. Her passion for coaching with her combined background in counseling is a great set-up for strengths-based, insight-oriented work together.
